About me, qualifications and feesAfter a varied career I have developed the counselling skills that I used for many years in Action Learning to become a counsellor and psychotherapist.
From both my training and my own life and work experience, I will help you look at your issues in the safety of our confidential relationship, and explore how they affect your feelings and your life. From this understanding, we work together to increase your choices by dealing with areas of doubt, conflict or anxiety. I believe that by changing aspects of ourselves we can change our relationships, our attitudes and our experience of living.
I trained at WPF Therapy, London, which is recognised as one of the UK's leading training institutions with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice and an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
I am registered as a psychodynamic psychotherapist with the British Psychoanalytic Council, (BPC) and am bound by their code of ethics and complaints procedure. My qualification is recognised by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) . I am a member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC).
After the initial consultation, I charge £50 per session, and have a few places at lower rates for the unemployed and those on low income.
